What is Dime Dish?
Dime Dish was created exclusively for members of the Evergreen Dimes community. It allows readers like you to share your unique experiences and ideas with others.
You see, our community is an important part of our mission. And while we love creating inspiring content, personal stories are the most powerful ingredient for helping others thrive.
Everyone, including you, has done something extraordinary that’s worth sharing with the world. Now for the first time, Dime Dish gives you the chance to talk about it.

FAQs
Yes. You have to be a part of our community in order to be featured. If you haven’t joined as yet, you can do that by clicking here.
The best way is to write your story in Google Docs, then share the link with us. There’s a section in the form for you to add the link to your story.
Alternatively, you can add a link to your story using a file sharing service like Dropbox or Google Drive.
Unfortunately those options are not available. You’ll have to use one of the file sharing methods or services mentioned in the answer to the previous question.
Sort of. At the very least, we’ll need your real name for the story. It doesn’t have to be your full name though. You can choose between one of the following formats:
- Ron Burgundy
- Ron B.
- R. Burgundy
- R. B.
No. Only if you want us to add it to your story.
You can write about (but are not limited to): personal finance, lifestyle, eating, family, travel, career, productivity, self reflection, inspiration, business, wealth, life lessons, life hacks, social media, relationships with money, financial mistakes, better living, advice, success and failure.
We’re pretty flexible. And if you’ve got a question, don’t hesitate to ask us.
Politics, discrimination, hate speech… you know, all the negative things that don’t have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
There’s no word count per se. However, it’s unlikely that you can tell your amazing story in less than 500 words. Remember, people want to read what you have to say so don’t leave out all the juicy details. With that said, your story can be as long as you like.
Yes. And while we don’t expect you to produce “A+” scholarly masterpieces, we do expect your story to have the following:
- A title
- A featured image
You can add other images if you want. And as for grammar, spelling, etc, don’t beat yourself up about it. Just focus on telling your story. You can always use a service like Grammarly to check your work.
We’ve created a helpful guide that has a great list of sites you can download images from. Click here to see it.
Yes. If you can write basic and conversational english, you’ll be fine. An editor will guide you if necessary.
TIP: Don’t let your inexperience hinder you. We are all born not knowing how to read or write in any language. The only way we learn is by doing it over and over. So keep on writing and you’ll get better over time.
We prefer all stories to be in English. However… you can submit a story in your native language under one condition:
You have to include a translated version in English as well. If it’s good enough, we’ll publish it too. This gives you a chance to share your story with more people. It benefits everyone.
As many times as you want. Or until the Internet dies… this site dies… or you die.
After you submit your story, it will be added to our queue to be reviewed by an editor.
It can take anywhere from a day to a week for us to publish your story. But don’t worry, we’ll send you an email as soon as it’s published.
No. This is exclusively for Evergreen Dimes subscribers. There’s a separate page for bloggers and writers which you can find here.
Well then you can submit your article. But you’ll be bound by the terms of this guide. So don’t try to be sneaky. We’ll know if you’re trying to abuse this privilege.
Yes. You can add your social media handles and a link to your website if you have one. They must be yours though, not someone else’s. We’ll obviously verify this.
Links to helpful resources are allowed. However, affiliate links and blatant self-promotion are forbidden.
Ahh… so you’re an opportunistic capitalist eh? That’s good. But it sucks because we don’t pay for personal stories.
Yes it’s possible. If it happens we’ll let you know why so you can either fix it and try again.
However, if your story is totally absurd or violates our terms, we won’t contact you and you’ll be banned from our community forever.
